1. Purpose
- These terms and conditions govern the vehicle reservation and rental services offered by Street Car Solution (Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico). Any reservation implies the unreserved acceptance of these terms.
2. Reservation & Contract
- Online reservations are considered a request; they are confirmed by message (WhatsApp / Email) and/or payment of a deposit if required.
- The rental agreement is signed upon vehicle handover, after verification of the official documents (Driver's license + Passport or INE) of the driver(s)).
- A “similar vehicle” may be provided depending on availability.
3. Driver, Age & Documents
- Minimum age: 21, or 25 for certain models. Driver’s license must be valid for at least 2 years.
- * Rental is possible for young drivers with an additional fee.
- Required identification: driver’s license + passport or INE.
- Additional drivers are possible (see Services page).
4. Rates, Payment & Security Deposit
- Rates include insurance and unlimited mileage unless otherwise stated.
- Payment methods accepted: Cash or Debit/Credit card (5% bank fee applies to card payments).
- Prices are set in Mexican Pesos (MXN). Foreign currencies are accepted at the exchange rate on the pickup day.
- A security deposit is required when the vehicle is handed over. It will be returned upon its return, minus any potential fees (missing fuel, fines, damages, cleaning, late returns, etc.).
5. Insurance & Liability
- Included: Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection (TP) with a deductible of 10% of the vehicle value. Optional add-ons may be offered.
- Coverage includes third-party liability and medical assistance.
- Standard exclusions apply (driving under the influence, off-road use, negligence, unauthorized use…).
- In the event of an accident, theft, or incident, the renter must immediately notify Street Car Solution.
- Under no circumstances is Street Car Solution responsible for theft of personal belongings left inside the vehicle.
6. Fuel
- The vehicle is delivered with a specific fuel level and must be returned with the same level. Otherwise, refueling fees apply. Extra fuel is not reimbursed.
7. Pickup, Returns & Delay
- Pickup and return locations (airport, hotel, etc.) are agreed upon during the reservation.
- Pickup and/or return between 9:00 pm and 9:00 am incur an extra fee.
- Late returns are subject to extra charges per the current rate schedule.
- Check-in/check-out inspections are performed; any damage not reported at pickup may be charged.
8. Vehicle Use
- The vehicle must be used in compliance with the Mexican laws.
- The vehicle must be returned washed (carwash); otherwise a cleaning fee applies.
- Trips outside authorized areas require prior approval. Crossing the country border is prohibited.
9. Fines, Damages & Downtime
- Fines, tolls and violations during the rental are the renter’s responsibility.
- In case of damage, repair and/or immobilization fees may be charged according to the insurance terms.
10. Cancellation & No-Show
- The customer must inform Street Car Solution as soon as possible of any date changes or cancellation.
11. Force Majeure
- Street Car Solution shall not be liable for non-performance or delay due to a force majeure event (unforeseeable external event, natural disaster, destruction of the reserved vehicle, etc.).
12. Personal Data
- Your data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
- These terms are subject to Mexican law. Failing an amicable solution, disputes fall under the competent courts of Cancún, Quintana Roo.
